In mixed reality, privacy isn't a settings screen. It's how you appear to other people, who can find you, and what they learn about you while you're in the room together. On Meta's Reality Labs design team I re-architected Quest's privacy and safety controls so people could understand and manage how they appeared, interacted, and shared information across 20M+ devices, and so parents could make those decisions on behalf of their kids without reading a policy document to do it.
